Chewsy is a restaurant list and decision app for households. This policy explains what it stores and why.
When you sign in with Apple, we store the identifier Apple gives us, and your name and email if you choose to share them. We store the restaurants you add to your household list, your tags, ratings, notes, and visit dates. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can send swipe match invites and reminders.
Your data is used only to run the app: to show your household's shared list, power the decide features, and send the notifications you opt into. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
If you allow it, Chewsy uses your device location to sort places by distance and to find nearby ideas. Location is used to make a request at that moment and is not stored on our servers as a history.
Restaurant details (hours, price, photos) come from the Google Places API and are cached to make the app fast. Your use of that data is subject to Google's terms.
Your list and reviews are private to the members of your household. Nobody outside your household can see them.
You can delete your account from Settings inside the app at any time. This removes your account and personal data from our servers.
